 To elect Executive Board Members for the following categories:

Oil palm growers

  • MPOA is retiring and available for re-election. There will be no election and MPOA will serve another term until the 10th general assembly as no other nominations have been received.
  • GAPKI has resigned from being a member of the RSPO. Edi Suhardi representing a caucus of RSPO Indonesian growers is the only candidate to take up the seat. Therefore no election will take place.

Palm Oil Processors and Traders

  • IOI Group is retiring and available for re-election. There will be no election and IOI Group will serve another term until the 10th General Assembly as no other nominations have been received.

9.

Consumer goods manufacturers

  • Unilever is retiring and available for re-election. There will be no election and Unilever will serve another term until the 10th general assembly as no other nominations have been received.

10.

Retailers

  • Carrefour is retiring and available for re-election. There will be no election and Carrefour will serve another term until the 10th General Assembly as no other nominations have been received.

11.

Banks and Investors

  • HSBC is retiring and available for re-election. There will be no election and HSBC will serve another term until the 10th General Assembly as no other nominations have been received. 

12.

Environmental and Conservation NGOs

  • Conservation International (CI) is retiring and available for re-election. 
  • Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil Foundation (ISPO) and Borneo Rhino Alliance (BORA) have been nominated as candidates 
  • Elections among the Environmental and Conservation NGOs category will therefore be held. Only members in this membership category are eligible to vote.

Social NGOs

  • Oxfam International is retiring and available for re-election. There will be no election and Oxfam International will serve another term until the 10th General Assembly as no other nominations have been received.

For all ordinary members who will not be attending the General Assembly, please appoint a proxy and duly complete the proxy form (please download at http://ga8.rspo.org/c/proxy-form/) All proxy forms must reach the Secretariat Office in Kuala Lumpur either by fax (+603-23021500) or email ([email protected]) by 0900 hour Malaysia standard time, 8 March 2012. Proxy holders must be physically present at the General Assembly to exercise the vote.
