Resolution 6d titled “Discouraging RSPO Members Subject to Complaints from Avoiding Their Obligations by Divestment or Withdrawing Their Membership” (hereinafter referred to as “Resolution 6d”) was passed at the 15th Annual General Assembly on 15 November 2018. The resolution was the result of growing concern among RSPO members on the increasing number of divestments and RSPO membership withdrawals in the course of an active complaint.

To achieve its objective, the Resolution 6d Task Force (the “Task Force”) was formed in June 2019, comprising representatives from each RSPO Membership sector. Following many discussions and reviews, the Resolution 6d Task Force issued four recommendations for its first round of 30-day public consultation, from 1 to 30 June 2020. Three webinars were also conducted to allow better understanding of the recommendations, and all comments and input from the members have been reviewed and considered to refine and improve the recommendations.

Upon review, the four recommendations will now go for its second round of 30-day public consultation, from 26 August to 26 September 2020. The document and feedback form are available for download below. We look forward to receiving your input and feedback on the recommendations.

In conjunction with the public consultation, we will also be conducting webinar sessions on the following dates. If you are interested in joining the webinar, kindly register via the link below:
