Field of activities

AGRIVAR acts as an interface between the producers of fresh fruit of crude palm and crushing businesses palm oil.
The company operates with a production unit of crude palm oil, first press (CPO), through the supply in the local market with fresh fruit of crude palm oil (FFB), purchased from producers organized in cooperatives. The company began operations in 2001 and produces an average of 16 tons of palm oil first press (CPO) per day (24 hours cycle).

AGRIVAR buys the raw material (fresh fruit of crude palm oil: FFB) from farmers in the South Comoé region (Bonoua and Aboisso) which are organized into cooperatives.

Our current source of supply consists in three (3) cooperatives.

AGRIVAR is considering partnerships with cooperatives of small-scale production of palm oil in order to include their products in a formal system of distribution.
AGRIVAR employs 91 people mostly uneducated, including 41 permanent and 50 casual workers and 20 Women.

AGRIVAR is committed to sustainable production of palm oil as recommended by the RSPO convention obligations. These requirements are developed according to principles and criteria related to environmental and social impacts of palm oil cultivation, as well as those related to palm oil production.

We are committed to help some of our FFB suppliers in the implementation of palm oil biological production on the one hand,
And, we are secondly committed to help all of our FFB suppliers in the integration of RSPO principles and criteria in their daily activities, through the consideration of social issues, respect of environment and laws, and commitment to economic sustainability.

We are also committed ourselves to assist other stakeholders, through the formalization of research programs (research of partnership with a local university to analyze the possibility of reusing our process water) and local development support.
