Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

  • How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
We will promote RSPO through various tools internally as well as to our other stakeholders. We will use our intranet tool which is an interactive tool available for all employees. Furthermore after being granted an RSPO membership we will announce this and communicate about the policy, objectives and activities during a presentation for all employees internally followed by external communication. As we are in very close dialog with our stakeholders we will use additional instruments such as social media (facebook, instragram, snapshat) in order to promote RPSO and our sustainability actions but also face-to-face meetings with our business partners and public communication through our website.
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
We are not directly purchasing palm oil or oil palm products. However in some of our finished products we are using PO/ PKO and its derivatives in form of emollients, emulsifiers, waxes. In order to identify and control the use of palm oil and oil palm in our raw material portfolio, we are working with an internal QA system. Additionally we keep communicating with our business partners about our binding formulation requirements which also include sustainability requirements in order to meet our sustainability targets. For this process we are in close contact and permanent exchange with our contract manufacturers.
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
We would like to face up to our responsibility as an actor in the palm oil supply chain.

For this reason, as part of our sustainability strategy, we have decided as a first step to fully compensate our volumes of palm oil and palm oil derivatives by the purchase of RSPO credits, thus supporting the sustainable cultivation of palm oil. As a next step we will enforce the use of sustainable PO and PKO derivatives through our business partners and suppliers. In this regards we are working with the supplier sustainability rating platform ecovadis.
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
We want to fully compensate our volumes of palm oil and palm oil derivatives used for our products, through the purchase of RSPO credits, and in this way supporting the sustainable cultivation of palm oil.
