Emsland-Stärke GmbH with its production sites in Germany and an international sales network with more than 100 agencies and representations world-wide is an internationally acting company. The company was formed in 1928 and is Germany?s largest potato starch manufacturer and one of the world?s leading companies in the manufacture of refined starch products, proteins and fibres, potato flakes and -granules. The Emsland Group creates innovative products based on potato and pea starch for the processing industry. In total, two million tons of potatoes per year are being processed within the company group. As part of the company?s philosophy ?using nature to create? the recovered raw materials are being processed to innovative and future-oriented quality products in compliance with nature to be primarily applied in the food, adhesives, textile, paper and feed industry. Furthermore, the products are successfully applied among others in the building industry, environment engineering and are also used for absorbent materials. The Company Group employs approximately 900 employees and achieves an annual turn-over of approx. 500 m Euro. The export share reaches 80%. The company headquarter is Emsland-Stärke GmbH in Emlichheim.
