Pacific Oils & Fats Industries Sdn Bhd


PACOIL was established in 2002 through acquisition of one of the largest edible oil refineries in M'sia followed by the construction of its own storage and bulking facilities at Pasir Gudang Port in 2003. PACOIL is equipped to process CPO as well as crude soft oils eg. sunflower,corn oil,soyabean oil & etc and into refined oils & other down stream specialty products. Multiple refining units under one manufacturing complex provide PACOIL the necessary flexibility to cater to specific customer's meeds and re-emphasize the Group's commitment to quality and prompt deliveries. PACOIL ensures efficient logistic operations to support handling of over 1 million metric tonnes of edible oils per annum.

Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

  • How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
    Our organization will undertake to impart the objectives of Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) to all levels in the organization & to give them a better understanding of the commitment in adhering to the principles set out in the Code of Conduct (Code) by relating it to everyday life encompassing all aspects including the various legal aspects, impact on environment' biodiversity and social responsibility internally and as for the other stake holders by highlighting the importance of RSPO & role the organization will undertake to take to maintain RSPO by holding talks, workshop including Q & A sessions to create the awareness. In the pursuit of Excellence, Value Addition and Mutual Rewards, we are confident that we shall be a truly dynamic global enterprise and contribute through our humble, mans to the betterment of mankind.
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
    We shall set up a committee in our organization to study the objective, understand it fully and be committed to adhere to the principles set out in the Code so that the Committee will be able to handle any issues/conflicts related to the use of sustainable palm oil either from its customers, suppliers, sub-contractors and wider chain by organizing meetings and having dialoque sessions with them, when and where necessary.<br />This committee shall give feedback to the top management to bring to the attention of the Roundtable to resolve issues appropriately and professionally.
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
    Our organization will, where practicable, shall only buy raw material (CPO) from parties who do not violate the basic RSPO criteria. Besides that, we will take one step at a time to evaluate our suppliers from the various aspects (such as their compliance to legal requirements, any violation of social responsibility in the development of the plantation and environmental impact/ pollution and etc. And in addition to the above, our organization will strictly adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP) with our standard work ethics and in full compliance to ISO 9001, EMS and HACCP.
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
    By being a part of RSPO, it will be our honor to add this prestigious recognition to our organization and will be in a better position to influence other parties (suppliers) to follow the Code set up by RSPO to support, promote and work toward the production, procurement and use of sustainable palm oil.
