Jumbo Supermarkten

Jumbo is a family business with a history of entrepreneurship. Jumbo has more than 650 outlets, seven Foodmarkets, seven City stores and an online service via Jumbo.com. The basis of Jumbo's success is the Jumbo formula: the lowest price, the biggest range of products and the best service. Jumbo is the only retail organisation that combines all these elements. In addition, Jumbo works with seven certainties: these are the guarantees by means of which Jumbo truly makes its promises come true. Over the years, consumers have repeatedly rated Jumbo as the best supermarket in the Netherlands. It has also been awarded various other prizes and awards in the areas of sustainability, marketing and GfK.

In 2009 Jumbo took over Super de Boer and in 2012 the even bigger C1000. At the beginning of 2016 Jumbo has also taken over the foodservice formula La Place. In 2018 followed the acquistion of a part of EMTÉ. Over the past years Jumbo has grown from a regional supermarket chain to a leading omnichannel retailer in the Netherlands.
