Carleton Cake Company Limited


Originally operating as a town centre Bakery in Cootehill, Wilfred and Doreen Carleton sold the Bakery in 2000. Carleton Cake Co. Ltd have moved twice within the Cootehill area to their present, purpose built production unit on a nearby industrial estate of approximately 1900 metres squared in July 2006. We have expanded in 2014 and now have another unit for raw material and finished product storage. The company specialise in the production of Cakes, Cookies, Scones, Tray bakes and other indulgent treats. The company employs 100 people increasing at peak production times. Most products are ambient, distributed throughout Ireland and the UK in private and own brand label. Volumes are on average 55,000 units per week. Shelf life for finished product ranges between 2 weeks and 20 weeks.

    Carleton Cake company promotes the use of RSPO. We will ensure to use approved suppliers, encourage suppliers who are either RSPO certified, or have made a commitment and are taking the necessary steps to become RSPO certified,
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
    We are sharing our commitment to using RSPO certified products with our suppliers and are actively encouraged non - certified suppliers to become certified.
