In 1132 twelve Benedictine Monks built a watermill by Odense ?, the river which flows through the heart of Odense. The mill became known as Munke M?lle ( The Monks Mill ) and produced flour for centuries. In 1962, the world?s oldest mill opened the Mette Munk Bakery and soon started to export its high quality deep frozen Authentic Danish Pastry all over the world. Today Mette Munk Bakery is a high efficient producer of Authentic Danish Pastry with high quality products.
