HISTORY OF BUTT FOODS
1972 ? Mazhar Butt opens Royal Sweets, a restaurant and Asian Sweet shop with his father in Nottingham.
1990 ? Butt Foods starts baking Naan Bread at a 3,000 sq ft site in Basford, Nottingham with 3 staff.
1997 ? Moved to a new 50,000 sq ft bakery and head office in Lenton, Nottingham. Customers including Sainsbury, Safeway and Sharwoods.
2013 ? Now the company bakes up to 60 million products per year for European foodservice and manufacturing markets and has ambitious plans to double the size of the business over the next 3 years.
