Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

  • How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
Princes will communicate to all staff our RSPO membership and also when our suply chain is fully certified.

In explaining the RSPO to our staff we will communicate the RSPO principles, why the RSPO exists and the benefits its brings

Our key stakeholders ( UK and European major multiple rertailers ) are already well aware of the RSPO and in most cases are members.
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
We have already contacted all of our suppliers highlighting our need for RSPO certified palm oil by the end of 2014. Dialogue is underway with our supply base, where applicable, to change the palm oil used to RSPO accredited Segregated or Mass Balance. Our internal development teams are aware that it is now our policy not to launch any new products containing Palm Oil unless we have a secure RSPO accredited souirce.
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
As above, our policy on Palm Oil is only to use RSPO sources from 2015. When we have achieved this our supply base will be contacted again to confirm that this is the case and to reaffirm our commitment to the RSPO and to only using RSPO approved material in any branded or customer own brand product. Our suppliers are all manufacturers of finished products or ingredients and do not buy Palm Oil directly from mills or refineries.
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
Princes prides itself on compliance and integrity and will commit to full compliance with RSPO regulations, spreading the message of the RSPO and to highlight its commitment to teh conservation of natural resoirces and biodiversity. RSPO membership and a certified supply chain complements other existing environmental and sourcing policies.
