Quorn Foods Limited

Quorn Foods Limited is the parent company of Marlow Foods Limited, which is the manufacturer of the leading meat-free brands, Quorn & Cauldron. The Quorn brand is sold in 11 countries across the world. As part of our drive on sustainabilitity, we are focusing on the use of palm oil in our products. Palm oil is only used in a small number of our products where animal fats or hydrogenated fats would be the only alternative. However, we recognise the global environmental and social impact of unsustainable palm oil and we are therefore committed to sourcing 100% sustainable palm oil.

Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

  • How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
We work with our suppliers to source and purchase certified sustainable palm oil and its derivatives where available.
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
We are involved with organisations such as WWF to ensure that, where available, we can source sustainable palm oil ingredients and also to explore opportunities to improve the availability of certified sustainable palm oil.
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
The RSPO Principles & Criteria are incorporated into our routine supplier approval procedures to ensure that all relevant suppliers comply.
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
We hope that by working in partnership with the RSPO and its members, we can promote sustainable palm oil within our business and to our customers.
