Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

  • How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
All Company employees were trained on the new Company Handbook produced in November 2011. This handbook includes our five Core Company Values. One of these values is:

Sustainability? We believe that we all have a part to play in lessening environmental erosion. Whether working with our customers to develop sustainable products and product packaging or through on-site recycling and energy consumption control, we believe in protecting the environment for our future generations.

This value is also showcased on our corporate website to attract both suppliers and customers alike with the similar ambitions and values.

All staff are also annually retrained on RPSO Supply Chain Certification and those elements relevant to their role.
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
As a contract manufacturer, we work with many of the UK larger grocery retailers. These retailers are working to ensure that their shelves are eventually filled with sustainable palm oil produced soap products.

As a contract manufacturer, we work with many of the UK larger grocery retailers. These retailers are working to ensure that their shelves are eventually filled with sustainable palm oil produced soap products.

As a business, we are able to manufacture these products as we are able to purchase sustainable palm oil noodles from certified suppliers. As part of our normal goods-inward procedure, we check the C of A upon receipt and retain these documents for the required numbers of years for traceability to be undertaken if required. We are also able to track/segregate products as required.

We report annually on the total tonne of soap products produced and can provide this break-down to the RSPO.
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
We will continually discuss sustainability issues with suppliers and actively promote this to our customers. All new suppliers must complete a Supplier Assessment Form, including an RSPO question.
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
RSPO membership validates our intentions and beliefs in lessening the impact of an ill-managed expansion of palm oil production. Where possible, we will continue to promote sustainable palm-oil ts to our customers.
