Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

  • How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
We will give information to stakeholders by implementing a communications strategy. There will be a strategic mapping of the stakeholders involved in the process that will identify their involvement level in the internal processes and help us design specific methodologies for them. This will guarantee that RSPO principles will be well known by stakeholders at different levels. The strategy includes: elaborating educational material and visual aids that will be easily understood by everyone involved in the process. This information will be distributed electronically, physically and through workshops. This will enable our stakeholders to have a better grasp of the concepts, advantages and interiorize the purposes of RSPO and therefore make changes needed to implement the standard.
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
Our engagement with stakeholders is based on the diffusion of successful methodologies and technologies that we develop in our process of implementation and certification of the RSPO, seeking an improvement in general conditions of those involved directly or indirectly with our process of obtaining palm oil
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
Our organization will implement the RSPO principles in five stages: 1) informing and educating, 2) diagnosing, 3) sharing results, 4) executing and 5) feedback. In the first stage, we will inform our stakeholders about the concepts and benefits of RSPO. In stage two, we will have a diagnosis of our processes that will allow us to detect the changes that need to be made. After this, we will have a budget and schedule for these improvements. In stage three, we will share our findings with all the stakeholders through participative workshops. This will make the process inclusive and well known by everyone. In the fourth stage we will start implementing the changes that were identified. In the fifth and last stage, we will have feedback sessions with all the stakeholders to make sure everyone is aware of the process the organization is going through, strengthen the concepts and to have space for more improvements.

We will also work together with our suppliers during the certification process to encourage them to implement RSPO principles. Our company is working on establishing RSPO certification deadlines to our suppliers, and that way guaranteeing that at a certain point, all of them will be RSPO certified.
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
We are interested in being RSPO certified because we are committed with sustainability. Our organization’s policy is to continually seek excellence in the quality of our products, therefore satisfying stakeholders involved in the different activities. By actively participating in the RSPO community, we aim to guarantee social and environmental benefits from the parties involved and to obtain economic benefits and market recognition.
