Palm oil in Honduras is the third largest export of our economy and the sustainability of our industry is crucial for the development of our country. However currently the productivity of our industry is very low so there is a big potential to improve in productivity if we promote the use of high productivity soil, the use the high productivity seeds, have good practices for fertilizing the soil, good cultivating techniques and proper pest management. All these practices have to be friendly with our environment and communities.
