Oleopalma is the commercial name of a 100% Mexican group, compromised with sustainable palm oil growing and crude palm oil that works under four companies:

Agroindustrias de Mapastepec, S.A. de C.V. y Agroindustrias de Palenque, S.A. de C.V., that manage the four mills (Mapastepec, Marqués de Comillas, Palenque y Jalapa); Palmicultores San Nicolás, S.P.R. de R.L. y Palmicultores La Sombra, S.P.R. de R.L., that manage our palm plantations.

Our actions within the value chain are supported under a responsibility scheme with people, environment and the communities where we have influence. In a short term we want to certify our own mills and plantations. We have also started a pilot project to help a group of more than 150 independent producers with their certification process.

Mexico's scheme it's different from other countries because most of the producers work as independent who sell their fruit bunches to different mills lacking a contract.

Oleopalma receives more than 90% of the fruit from independent producers to provision their four mills, therefore the chain model selected is mass balance.
Also, this reality difficulties the progress in the value chain towards achieving the RSPO objectives. However, the company efforts are focused in traceability and to promote best agricultural and operative practices.
