Profile

IKEA is a leading home furnishing company with more than 430 IKEA stores in more than 50 markets. Our stores are annually visited by more than 950 million people, IKEA web visits 2.5 billion and 208.000 coworkers (FY18).
IKEA work with about 1,200 suppliers in 23 purchasing offices around the globe.

Our business idea is to "offer a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford to buy them "The IKEA vision and business idea encourage social and environmental responsibility. The vision "To create a better everyday life for the many people" refers not only to IKEA customers; but also to the environment, co-workers and the employees working for IKEA suppliers.

In a consumer society with a growing & international business the long term sustainability direction is that "The IKEA business shall have an overall positive impact on people & the environment".
