As a family-owned group, the company has grown since its creation in 1814 to become France s number one chocolate producer and is ranked in the top 3 industrial chocolate manufacturers in Europe. The group positions itself as an expert in the chocolate industry, due to its vertical integration: cocoa culture and trade, commercialisation of chocolate as an ingredient for the food industry, and as a consumer good for the European distributors with private labels (Carrefour, Dia, Aldi, Lidl, Tesco) and their own Cemoi-brand seasonal products.

Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

    The group Cemoi aims at continually developing methodology in the cocoa supply chain, providing sustainable value creation through post-harvest and agronomic improvement. Since 2010, the group is involved in the Pacts Alliance ((Processors Alliance for Cocoa Trace ability and Sustainability).

  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
    Because we have a experience with cocoa sustainable, we will do the same way of work for palm oil
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
    Because we have a experience with cocoa sustainable, we will do the same way of work for palm oil (agreement and audit for our vegetal fat suppliers for example)
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
