Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

  • How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
Farm Frites will use its intranet and tailored presentations to the sales force to internally inform on and promote the use of sustainable palm oil.
External communication includes the company website and targeted customers and stakeholders information.
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
Farm Frites is member of external bodies like the Dutch VAVI and the Belgian Belgapom, which actively promote the implementation of RSPO principles and criteria, including the commitment to have fully converted to 100% RSPO certified palm oil by 2015. Within its supply chain Farm Frites actively sources with suppliers committed to RSPO and its principles and criteria.
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
Farm Frites will make sourcing through RSPO certified suppliers an integral part of the sourcing strategy for vegetable oil. All current palm oil suppliers are already RSPO certified (Cargill, IOI, Wilmar).
A firm action plan to work towards 100% sustainable palm oil by the year 2015 will be in place.
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
RSPO certification and implementation of 100% sustainable palm oil has been made the responsibility of a senior management representative within Farm Frites.
As by the nature of its company values, Farm Frites is committed to care for natural environment.
Farm Frites' commitment towards sustainable palm oil is assured through membership of RSPO, VAVI and Belgapom.
