Presco Plc., a subsidiary of Siat Group has proposed a new development plan for its concession that covers an area of 1,913.1 ha located inside its operational area in Sakponba Extension 1 management unit. The plantation properties are located in Orhionwon Local Government Area (LGA), Km 22, Benin – Sapele Road, Obaretin Estate, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
The NPP verification for Sakponba Extension 1 was conducted through off-site document review and on-site verification. SCS Global Services auditors conducted off-site document review from 3 to 13 September 2021. Due to travel restrictions, the on-site verification was conducted with the assistance of a local audit facilitator on 22 and 23 September 2021.
The summary report of this area is now undergoing a 30-day public comments period as required by the RSPO New Planting Procedure 2021 from 28 January 2022 until 26 February 2022.
