Bahlsen is Germany's best-known producer of sweet biscuits. The family enterprise from Hanover, with its two umbrella brands Bahlsen and Leibniz, is the Number 1 in the German market for sweet biscuits and is also a leader in Europe. The two umbrella brands with a brand recognition of nearly 100% and an individual and characteristic image satisfy distinct wishes of consumers. The Bahlsen brand stands for high-quality indulgence, while Leibniz stands for a snack in-between and while on the go.

Bahlsen produces in four plants in Germany and one plant in Poland, where mainly products for the eastern European market are produced under the brand name Krakuski. The full and diverse range of Bahlsen products comprises the classic assortment of biscuits and waffles to cakes and Christmas biscuits all the way to biscuit bars. The Bahlsen Group generated sales of nearly 506 million euros in 2009.
