The RSPO Complaints Task Force is revising the RSPO Remediation and Compensation Procedures, one of the items on the agenda for its upcomign meeting early August.
It has been 5 years since the RSPO New Plantings Procedure (NPP) was first developed, and it is timely for the NPP to be updated to reflect relevant and important changes in the revised RSPO Principles & Criteria 2013. There is also a need to consolidate the different elements of the NPP (now found in separate documents) into a single coherent document to ensure that it provides the clarity and guidance required by RSPO members.
The RSPO Secretariat is pleased to announce that a generic audit checklist with the title of “Generic Checklist for Audits against RSPO P&C 2013” has been developed in order to support and provide guidance to auditors in assessing compliance of each requirement.

The recent public consultation on “RSPO’s Management System Requirements and Guidance for Group Certification of FFB production”, held in Bogotá (Colombia), elicited a solid response with more than 40 attendees including oil palm growers, millers, and social and environmental NGOs from 6 countries.

The RSPO and Accreditation Services International (ASI) will be conducting an expert discussion on the Independent Appeals Mechanism (IAM) within the RSPO Complaints System on 8 July 2015 in Hotel Millennium, Jakarta. The discussion will focus on gathering inputs from stakeholders to obtain a comprehensive review on the IAM development.
