The 13th Annual General Assembly (GA13) of members of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) was held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand on Thursday, 10 November 2016 at 1500 hours (GMT+7).
Starting on 1st January 2017, public reporting of GHG assessment for new plantings under Criterion 7.8 is made mandatory through; i) standard NPP report uploaded onto the RSPO website; and ii) as part of the annual audit summary report published on the RSPO website under compliance findings of principle 7. The GHG assessment report for new plantings is to be verified by auditors based on ‘Chapter 6 – Reporting of GHG assessment for new plantings’.

At the GA 12 in November 2015 the Resolution 6h was passed that committed the RSPO to ensuring the quality, oversight and credibility of RSPO assessments by developing clear and mandatory guidelines and to improve the quality of High Conservation Value, High Carbon Stock and Social and Environmental Impact Assessment and Free Prior & Informed Consent review in the New Planting Procedure assessments, as well as to monitor the quality, independence and performance of all RSPO Auditors.
