Ordinary Membership
This type of membership is open to organisation that have direct involvement in the palm oil supply chain, or associated NGOs. Oil Palm growers who posses less than 500ha of estate area/land is categorized in this type of membership. All Ordinary Members have voting rights in the RSPO General Assembly and are able to publicly state they are members of the RSPO.
Affiliate Membership
This type of membership is limited to organisations and individuals, who are not directly/actively involved in the palm oil supply chain, where palm oil and palm oil products are not part of their business activities. These organisations and individuals are not involved in any of the seven stakeholder groups in Ordinary membership. Affiliate members do not have voting rights in the RSPO General Assembly. Affiliate member are able to claim they are Affiliate members of the RSPO.
Supply Chain Associate
This type of membership is reserved for organisations that are active in the supply chain of RSPO certified palm oil, and they do not purchase, use or trade more than 500 metric tonnes of palm oil and palm oil products in a year. Associate members do not have voting rights in the RSPO General Assembly. Associate members are able to claim they are Associate member of the RSPO.
