Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

  • How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
    Nissin Foods USA is focused on fulfilling our transition to 100% sustainable palm oil by the end of 2016 and regularly shares our progress and RSPO activities with senior executives across all departments: Manufacturing, Purchasing, Marketing, R&D, General Affairs and Sales. This consistent communication increases and prioritizes cross-functional efficiencies in order to help us achieve this important goal. Additionally, our palm oil position and goals will be shared on our web site.
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
    In line with our corporate responsibility philosophy, and our responsibility as active RSPO members, Nissin Foods USA requires our supply chain partners to be RSPO certified and regularly engages them to identify opportunities for further supply chain sustainability.
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
    Nissin Foods USA's supply chain partners are RSPO certified and we are actively working with them to achieve 50% CSPO (mass balance) by the end of 2015 and 100% sustainable palm oil by the end of 2016, all under the guidance of the RSPO's Principles and Criteria.
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
    As a responsible corporate citizen, our RSPO membership is an important expression of our values to reduce, reuse and recycle. Nissin Foods USA continues to fulfill our founder's dream of satiating the masses with delicious, convenient, and high-quality noodles, while also addressing today's sustainability imperative and environmental concerns so that our consumers can continue to enjoy our much-loved noodle products.
