| The strong demand for palm oil has significantly increased the plantation areas at the expense of primary forests. The overproduction represents a real substantial environmental risk regarding the disappearance of traditional forests, indigenous wildlife and movement of the local population. Lactalis Group, through its Industrial and Human policy, would like to have a significant role in an economy oriented towards sustainable development. Therefore, in answer to these environmental hazards, we wish to join the RSPO which integrates all stakeholders (Farmers, Processors and Non Governmental Organisations). Thus, the use of oil RSPO enables us and our consumers to have the guarantee that the oil does not cause deforestation and respects the environment and quality of life of workers. | ||||
