Gapoktan Tanjung SEHATI is base in Desa Mekar Jaya, the organization found at 2009, and registered by local goverment. Gapoktan Tanjung SEHATI is the organization owned by the independent smallholder, and until now they have 350 member with managed 450 Ha or palm oil plantation.

Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability
How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
Gapoktan Tanjung SEHATI have vision to promote the sustainable palm oil in Jambi trough producing the FFB. And now the organization try to push another stakeholder, especially the small farmer in other village to produce the FFB with the sustainable practice. And now, there 3 village will join to promote the sustainable palm oil in the area.
Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
We try to strengthening our organization, and try to using the Good agriculture practices in our plantation, because if we have the good organization, we will get much benefit from other. We also try to promote the sustainable palm oil to local government, we hope the local government can develop the regulation related with the sustainability (producing and using).
Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
In our organization, we developed the system of control. This system is to monitor is P&C of RSPO implemented or no. And we also have the strong structure in our organization, if there supplely against the criteria, we will give them the punishment as our organization regulation.
Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
We hope RSPO not only available in English, but also available in Indonesian. Because the problem is, we are from independent smallholder cannot using the English language. And we also hope, the RSPO can give us much time to present our experience in promoting the sustainable palm oil in Jambi and in Indonesia.
