PT SMART Tbk is one of the largest, publicly listed, integrated palm-based consumer companies in Indonesia. Currently, PT SMART Tbk had a total planted area of over 98,000 ha located in Sumatra and Kalimantan in which of some have already obtained ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management System. The company actively distributes, markets and exports branded palm-based products such as cooking oil, margarine and shortening. SMART Research Institute (SMARTRI), PT SMART’s internationally recognized palm oil research institute received ISO 9001:2000 Certification for Quality Management.
Today we operate 9 CPO (Crude Palm Oil) milling facilities; some of them already awarded ISO 9001:2000 for Management Quality, with a total capacity of 485 tons/hour and 2 kernel crushing facilities with a total capacity of 730 tons/day. We also operate 2 refineries that produce cooking oil and margarine. Our branded cooking oil, Filma, received an award of SUPERBRANDS from the prestigious Indonesia Superbrands Council. The award gives recognition to our brand's market dominance, longevity, goodwill, consumer loyalty, and also overall market acceptance.
