Governance

The Roundtable's organisation was originally based on an informal cooperation between a number of business partners and WWF. An Organising Committee was formed in January 2003 to organise the inaugural Roundtable meeting in Kuala Lumpur and to make preparations for the formal establishment of the RSPO. With the registration of RSPO as an association under Article 60 of the Swiss Civil Code on 8 April 2004, a new governance structure has been adopted, as shown below. Management and conduct of the RSPO will be governed by its Statutes and By-Laws. During the RSPO 3rd General Assembly of Members on 22 November 2006, RSPO members also adopted a Code of Conduct.
